According to the New Testament, a plurality of elders were to be appointed in every church.

Were the elders of each congregation given the responsibility to “feed” (pastor) and “oversee” that congregation?
The oversight of elders is limited to that local “flock,” or church, which is among them.
Would God be pleased if we changed the organization of the church from that which He has revealed?

In order to be an elder (or, pastor) , one must meet the qualifications that God has ordained.
According to the Bible, can a woman be a pastor (elder)?
An elder must be able to teach the word of God as well as rebuke those who teach false doctrines.
